Here is what Kennedy Collegiate students had to say about the best part of their anti-idling activities:

  • Gaining more knowledge about idling made me more aware of me and my family’s actions when it comes to idling. Going outside and talking to the drivers was also fun.
  • Going out and actually seeing how many people idle.
  • Getting our message out.
  • We got to go out and do practical work, which was a better way to learn than just listening and taking notes.
  • Best thing about the activity is when we got to talk to people about the harmful effects of idling and how it affects the environment.
  • Getting out and observing and taking the time to speak to people who frequently idle.
  • Seeing how people responded in such a positive way.
  • Knowing that our class made a difference in the city.
  • That it helped us raise awareness not only just in our parking lot, but across Windsor as well.
